Can anyone help me out with the words to this tune? Have started playing it and never can work out what various people sing for this one.

I have heard words only on the 4th part.

Rabbit where's your mammy
Rabbit where's your mammy
Rabbit where's your mammy
Way down in Alabamy

Hope that helps a "little"...Gary S

Despite the non-traditional title of the band and the CD, The Boney Goat Band does a great, very traditional version of this on thier CD "We've Shaved Out Backs and We're Ready to Rock" It goes:

Little rabbit where's your mammy?
Little rabbit where's your mammy?
Little rabbit where's your mammy?
Little rabbit where's your mammy?
She's gone to Alabamy
She's gone to Alabamy

Thanks for the responses, still getting my mind around the zen art of singing snatches in old time tunes! Kind of do it after things have been going a while and don't do it too often seems to be the approach.... love that tune

Wow, I haven't posted in months!...

There is a version of Little Rabbit on the "Hootenany" record from a few years back. David Grier (sp?), Dirk Powell, Tim-O. Tim sings a bunch of verses.

there's a rabbit in the headlights
i can cook him just right
bring some plates and glasses
i'll glaze him with molasses
