Hi All,
Lately I'm thinking about replacing the pick-up in my Fender solidbody with a ryder pickup.
Any reccomendations on whether I should choose the single coil or the stacked humbucker?

If that's a "mandocaster" pickup you're thinking of replacing, consider that the stacked humbucker might require some routing to make the pocket deeper. Removing wood is a non-reversible modification to a classic Fender instrument.
I think mine's a great pick-up but in some amps it's rather noisy. Is that why you're thinking of a replacement?

Of course, if he has one of the RECENT Fender solidbody axes, there's no cause for alarm. They have cheap pickups.

Indeed, it is not the mandocaster, but a recent Fender solidbody (of which I keep forgetting the name).
So judging from mrmandos answer, I will do good with this upgrade, am I right?
