I stumbled onto this site a few days ago. This has a wealth of knowledge on theory all on one site.
You will see 3 boxes on the main page
Lessons
Trainers
Untilities
Click on lessons, and pick a topic you need help in, there are a lot of topics to choose from. Click on the topic, and everything you need to know is there.
This is a very helpful site if you are learning how music works. Try the keyboard too, if yo are learning scales, finding the chords, triads, scales on this keyboard, helps to understand the fretboard on a mandolin. JD

I always get a kick out of this site. It's a handsome product that delivers music fundamentals in an attractive way (macromedia flash), plus a good helping of 'I didn't know that!' But I particularly like his 'trainers'.

(He references the mi(#7) and ma7(#5) chords as 'rarely used'... Must be a non-jazz guy, eh?)

Hey - thanks a lot. I really like this site, since I have no training in theory. Grace
