Been a guitar player for over 15 years, but my father has finally turned me onto the mandolin. He was gracious enough to hand down to me a Weber Aspen #2 with the arm rest and tailpiece. Here is a picture of it next to my Martin D-45 and Fender Celtic.

That's a mighty nice looking mando. I especially like the coloring as I see most of them done plain. I looks classy that way.
I've been keeping an eye out for one of them as a change from my Flatiron Cadet pancake.
enjoy it, it looks great.

Thanks, I also really like this finish better than natural/blonde. Here is a good shot of the back. Not bad for my starter mandolin http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

That's sharp, what type of tunes are you going to jam on? Any thoughts to placing a pickup in her? Later, dy.

I am currently most interested in Celtic music (being that I am Irish).. I'm sad to say that my D-45 hasn't seen as much use as expected because I've been putting in so many hours on the mandolin.
