Hello. I'm restoring a nice old German mandolin and want to recreate the cover for the endpiece.
Do you know what material it was made of? I'm speculating zinc?
Do you have photo of such a cover?
I first thought of patinizing a new endpiece but they are all made of much thicker material, mine is just 1,1 mm and they are heaviiy chromed
PS: Is that hook meant for a strap?
