I have a friend who has played guitar in an Irish folk band for a few years and wants to start playing some mandolin with the band. I suggested a used Rigil A+ Deluxe because of the wider neck, radiused fingerboard, and the ability to plug in. Is this a good choice? What others in that price range should he consider? He will probably be pluged in most of the time.
