I am going to be traveling from Odessa, Texas to Huntsville, Alabama on September 9-18. I was hoping to find a place to drop in and catch some bluegrass at towns near I-20. I realize this is the week of Winfield, but I also realize that not every picker in the world goes to Winfield. Does anyone know of dates, places, and times I could catch some pickin' and grinnin'?
Some of the major towns I will be going throush are Shrieveport, Jackson, Birmingham, of course Dallas...and more.
By the way, I have made this trip a few times and it always amazes me that I travel 1100 miles each way and most of it is in Texas...this is one big state.
