needing info on a swan mandolin who made it , is it any good

what can anyone tell me about this mandolin, thinking of doing a purchase of one. looks many years old but still in good shape

They were imported into the US under dozens maybe hundreds of brand names. WE have a member that started out with one and liked it, they really weren't anything to write home about.

yes Mike I am bidding on the one on ebay. I couldn't find any info on-line about Swan .The tag on back of the head looks to be in french thats why I was asking about it.

The tag appears to identify a music store (retailer) in France. I'm sure they had nothing to do with the manufacturer other than buying from their distributor.
