Hello All

Happy Friday. I recently purchased a Greek Baglama in Canada (Ottawa) and I'm looking for info about the piece as I cant seem to bring any up through my own research.
I want to just come right out and say not only do I barely know how to play the thing (yet), and I know even less about how these are made, the types of materials used, etc. But considering my Greek-Cypriot background, I felt it would be a worthy challenge to learn more about it.

Yours looks like a typical decent baglama. It's tuned DAD and plays chords and melody lines in traditional rebetiko and laika music. (more of an Athens/Pireas instrument than a Cypriot one).
