Has anyone tried before a 12 string mandolin (4x3)? How does it sound? Is it hard to play it?...

I have a 12 string mandolin got it in Ireland about 10 years ago.
It is at least 90 years old but it was reworked when I brought it .
I think it is fairly easy to play, one of the reasons is that I have light silk & steel strings on it. There is no truss rod and anything heavy would probably bend the neck. I tune it standard and it has a very full sound works well with old-time tunes and Irish. It is not my main mando but it really gives me a different sound.
