A new mandolin family instrument has been added to The Music Emporium inventory:

Rare Collings/Nugget collaboration mandolin just in on consignment. Based on the fabled blacktop A5 played by legend Tim O'Brien, this mandolin is everything you would expect from the big names associated with it. The top, back and braces are all carved by Mike Kemnitzer, and then they were sent to Collings to be finished off at their shop in Austin, TX. This one has a huge, beefy growl that could take out just about any other instrument. It is in great overall condition exhibiting some honest play wear, but the frets are in great shape, and the neck is smooth from being played over the years. There were very few of these ever produced and if you're interested in the Nugget sound with the Collings touch, this is the unicorn you've been looking for. Priced with original hard case.
