I am the newest of beginners but would love to sit in and watch and learn. Anybody gathering in the NOVA area?

The only one I can vouch for is the Lyon Park jam on Sundays. I have been to one. It was well attended, but kind of clique-ish.

My recommendation is Round Hill Va. Arts Center - last friday of every month. They are primarily bluegrass, but a lot of other styles are there too.

David,
Thanks for the tip. Round Hill on a friday night could work for me. cross country afterward would get me home in less than an hour. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mandosmiley.gif

I'm an experienced picker, but am new to the jam scene in DC. I'll try to make some of these No.VA jams. Jason, are you taking lessons?
