Sorry for the shortness of this clip but here is the Altered Roots Band playing one of the 2 tunes I play mandolin (bass on all else). This was 3/8/19 at an upscale outdoor shopping plaza in SE Florida. We play there about 3 times a year.
Working in an instrument like mandolin has been hard for me because mandolin has been hard for me to play cleanly and few of our tunes can survive without bass. It's also a bit scary playing live and loud on an instrument you are still quite "new."
