I just reheard Daybreak in Dixie and would like to hear more of Bill Napiers mandolin work. Any recomendations of songs, tunes he recorded with the Stanley Brothers on Starday or King?

Bill is one of my most influential heroes and probably after Monroe one of the first true innovators on mandolin(not to mention he adapted his mando playing to lead guitar)
I would say a lot of the early Starday/King cuts of the Stanleys would be a good example(available in a box set) also you can purchase the 2 disc set from Bear Family(excellent!) of their mercury recordings..these feature a lot of Bill.
I also reccomend anything from the partnership of Charlie Moore and Bill Napier simply because Charlie is my favorite and I idolize him... http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
