Maegen Wells 2017 A-Style

Pretty sweet new rig (2017) from Archtop Guitar builder Maegen Wells.
Maegen has been building Archtops for 10 years, the last 5 in her own
shop in Forestville, Ca, the previous 5 years spent in Tom Ribbecke's
shop, so she knows her way around a woodshop. This Mandolin has
great projection and a loud, but sweet tone, nothing but Sitka spruce,
big leaf maple and ebony put together with loving care, a truly spectacular
instrument, and I feel very lucky to have found it here in the MC classifieds!

I saw an interview with her, very interesting. I used to live in Santa Rosa and we would go through Forestville from time to time. She builds some beautiful instruments including your mandolin.

Beautiful mandolin you have there! I like that it doesn’t have a rosette around the sound hole - simple and elegant.
