A serendipitous Reverb search Sunday night scored me a nice deal on a Weber Sage #1, from 2001. And it already arrived yesterday morning. Came with a second shorter saddle and a couple sets of strings, to make the deal even sweeter.

Polished the frets, oiled the fingerboard and strung ‘er up. I’m loving the meaty neck and longish scale, great carve for me as I’m primarily a bass player. Sounds wonderful, though I admit to wishing the body was a bit larger, or at least deeper.

But I am thrilled with this beautiful new addition. My spare Long Hollow Softy strap worked out perfectly, as well.

I remember seeing that listing and thinking somebody is going to get a good deal with that one. I'm glad you got it before it got me.

Cool. Glad you got it. Was looking at it, too. But realized I don't need (aka the spouse would not approve) yet another OM. Hope it's as good as it appears to be.

Thanks. It’s in great shape, the only sign of age being a little wear on the first few frets under the E course and some nice darkening of the top. The pinky cleanly stopping both G strings is gonna take some practice, but my fluidity will hopefully come fast. Glad I snagged it for sure!

Ah, I saw that too, you lucked out!

Happy picking!

It's been while, but I had one like that. It was a wonderful octave. Wish I still had it. Enjoy.

It’s super-fun to play. Just want to add this photo, in case anyone’s interested in how they carve the two-piece neck. I really like the fit.

What's the scale length?

It’s 23-1/2, like the Flatiron pancake.
