A 1923 A3 as advertised with paddle head and truss rod cover too. Thoughts/comments?

Every one of those white face A-3's that I've played has sounded really good. A '23 with a truss rod for $1400? I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I had the money.

Great deal on a KOOL mandolin-23 a bonus with rod and the Loar era refinements! Buy it!! NFI
Plus I was thinking and while many are not a fan of the white or black tops well this guy is! Also 23 I believe is the last year for these and were built in small #'s so not too many of these.

I'd be curious about the serial number / FON that led to the 1923 identification. I would have thought that top would have been designated for an A2-z at that point. Regardless, $1400 is a good price for an A3, a great price for a Loar-era oval, and an even better price for an A3 with Loar-era features.

I’d like one of those! Probably a good thing I don’t have any money!

It amazes me that is still there. I blew my cash recently on my A-1. Not quite enough forearm wear on the lower bout, but that can be remedied with a few years hard play. My favorite old oval Gibson, with the possible exception of the A 2Z.

There was another whiteface a3 i saw on either reverb or ebay for about 1600 recently. might still be up. Just weird that people arent asking as much as they used to for these

This one is cleaner and the seller is asking less than for that one. Somebody should definitely snag that, no need to haggle
