Oh well, sometimes they sing a song from a guy's perspective. They'll probably survive the confusion.

Larkin Poe is a sibling group consisting of sisters Rebecca and Meagan Lovell. Good stuff.

Always liked that song. 3 cheers for them remembering the lyrics. I always need a cheat sheet and end of looking like Bob Hope telling a joke with Q cards.

They seem to be reading a chart for the lyrics on Country Boy, watch it full screen.

Good fun, well done, but seems to fall into that oh so clever category of "ironic" covers that seems to be sweeping the nation, IMHO.

I mean, good songs in their day, but is there a need to cover TGIACB? I do remember women would cover the song, back in the day, and change the gender. Hence, the irony of this version. That and bringing it back from the grave.....

Covers, by nature, are crowd pleasers and everybody likes to be popular, but again I question the artistic statement. An old argument, probably made by me before on this forum, but...........? But, sure, it's fun and I already know the words! Did it change my life? Nope. Nobody seems to cover songs that were not popular back in the day, do they? hmmm........

Not to criticize. Enjoy....................

I feel the same as @Jeff Mando about ironic covers, but their version of Maggie May, on the other hand, is killer. The mandolin player has some pipes to boot!!

Thanks for making me aware of them, Mark.

If not for good fun I wouldn't bother playing at all. Ofcourse I don't depend upon my playing to eat so I'm not concerned with a tune being a crowd pleaser or not. I only know what provides my fun. If my livelihood depended upon my playing I may very well have a different attitude.
Just another opinion on "ironic" covers.

These girls are an up-and-coming blues & blues/rock act from what I understand - some pretty hot rock & rollers. On their YouTube channel, they've begun to make these quickie videos of different styles of tunes just for fun to share with their fans. I was interested when I saw the mandolin used on some of these fun excursions. When I viewed them, I had a few thoughts, notably (1) I like her minimalist mandolin style, (2) I always like the "blood harmony" sound of siblings singing in harmony.

Here's another one, in the YouTube info section they write, "Simon & Garfunkel = two of our child/adult-hood idols. We were trying to be good by picking a relatively quiet song to sing in our hotel room in Sweden... How'd we do?"
