Here is my newly designed flower vessel that I just put on my new octave.

A flower vessel, eh? Looks suspiciously familiar to me.

I think we need a pic at 20'. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif No worries, if you get the ole' "cease and desist" you will be in good company.

Looks too much like the LOYD seen here. (http://www.mandolincafe.net/cgi-bin/ikonboard.cgi?act=ST;f=12;t=26441;hl=loyd). #Better watch it... http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

The pic doesn't show enough the changes I made. I forgot to mention the friend of mine who is cutting my pearl, Pete Carney. He has all the equipment to do a bang up job and wants to do some more. If anyone's interested send me an email and i can get you in touch with him. He's also a fine mando picker himself and knows this stuff very well.

What Gary isn't showing (I don't know why) is the rest of that gorgeous instrument. I got to pick on it for an hour or so last Friday evening and I must say it is a knockout. Great projection, warm tone. The amazing thing is the beautiful finish. Hopefully Gary will post some more pix soon. The headstock is very nice, but the whole package will knock some socks off.

Thanks Ken, and yes I'll post some pics as soon as I get it a little more done. I'm on vacation too so it'll be awhile. Thanks for the kind words.

If I had the financial means, I'd enter JML's mando-commissioning project and suggest Gary as a potential builder. Would you be interested if asked?

Ok here's the update I promised. First off, here are a couple of pics that my fiance has had a little fun with. This is the front door of my new workshop/home that I'll be moving to in November. The next one needs no explanation. What can I say,she loves me.
