I guess this is an instance where the European (?) word "mandola" is used instead of what we US-ians might be more inclined to call "octave mandolin" despite the shorter scale length? :confused: Anyway it sounds great! :)

Thanks, I'm glad you like it. Yeah everywhere but in the US a GDAE octave mandolin is called a mandola. I personally think octave mandolin is more clear since it distinguishes it from a CGDA instrument but I've gotten so used to just calling it a mandola.
