I recently found a nice 1935 Gibson F-7 from the family of its original owner. It has a non-original end pin and I am having a bit of a tough time finding one that is either original or at least a good reproduction of an original one. Does anyone know of a source or have a suggestion of where to find a proper end pin for this old F-7 ? It should look like this I believe.

Here's a profile shot. Stewmac sells an ivoroid pin (https://www.stewmac.com/Hardware_and_Parts/Bridges_and_Tailpieces/Bridges_and_Tailpieces_for_Mandolin/?facet=%7cHARDWARE%3aENDPNBRGPN) with a dot. You might be able to find an actual ivory pin that's close. I don't recall seeing a plain one like that in a while. This (http://www.guitarsaddles.com/products.asp) guy might be able to get you close. If he's actually turning them himself I would think he could duplicate that pin.

You might be able to yellow out the Waverly ivoroid pin by soaking it in strong tea for a week. You also might be able to re-shape the Stewmac pin in a drill press with some sand paper.
