Hey all,

I'm curious about something and hope that you all can answer it for me.

If you can ONLY spend $350 on a Mandolin, is the Kentucky KM-150 the BEST option? I'm talking about both A and F style mandolins.

Also, lets say that you are buying at a shop that KNOWS mandolins and will set it up as it should be with your purchase.

Thank you all for your help and information.
Have a great week!

Few makes and models at that price point generate threads such as this one: https://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/showthread.php?139599-Praise-for-the-Kentucky-KM-150

And here are a few more like it: https://www.google.ca/search?q=kentucky+km-150+site:www.mandolincafe.com&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiG9arz4ZzbAhXE7oMKHV0bDcwQrQIIdCgEMAQ&biw=1280&bih=615

At this time, for a new instrument, yes. The KM-150 is the best at that price or below.

I have a kentucky 150, 250 and a Eastman 404. Eastman is my favorite but that 150 is so easy to play and never fails with a great sound.
