I have a 63 Gibson A5 " Jethro" the case that came with it does not fit very well, likely not the original. Does anyone have a suggestion for a replacement that will protect better?

Im pretty sure a hiscox would do it. I don’t think configuration matters if body width and length are normal spec

Q: How does the one you have Not fit to your satisfaction?

consider a case from Pegasus , in Scotland,

I suspect if you send him enough information, he can make all the liner blocks & padding
to custom fit your mandolin, ...

I got a 2nd hand F5 Peg.. among the best in the world..

Mandroid, when in case about 1/3 of the back does not rest on the bottom of the case. The heel is about 1 1/8" off the case bottom and most of the pressure seems to be on the headstock as the neck does not touch the neck rest in case. Its a Gibson case but does not seem to be correct unless that is typical!

Still looking for suggestions for a case that fits a Gibson A5 two point properly, and suggestions from folks that have one?

Austin Clark has a nice case for his 2 points, you might reach out to him.

Sheperd - did you ever find a good case for your jethro?

I'm in the same situation, and so far the points on my A5 prevent me from using most A-style cases...
