When doing a shellac finish how long do you have to wait to be able to set the bridge? 1 week, 2 weeks, 30 days? This is my first shellac finish and man it is soft!

I try to go 1 month. A decent indicator is when you can see well defined lines showing through from the growth rings. They start to show for me at about 2 weeks and are well defined by 1 month.
