What tuning are you using on this? Are you sure it is a tricone? Or is it a Triolian?

Ah, one of the pear shaped tenors. I had one of those and foolishly sold it a few years ago

Lovely sound. I recently got a 1929 guitar body National Tenor. Plays like a dream, nice neck shape, great action, sounds great too. It's a treasure. I wouldn't trade or sell it for the world. I play it in Irish session tuned GDAE like an octave mando, and get a wonderful mellow sound picking closer to the base of the neck. Would love to have a pear shaped Triolian like yours too.
