They are. #This will be a Deluxe, with a couple of added features, to be revealed as Rolfe sends me pictures (which he will take when he gets the time).

My thanks to Mr. Barber for posting the pics in a form suitable for this site.

Hey Gene, those are some nice pictures, especially the one with the tone-bar glueing jig-a-ma-thing ! Those graphite laminated bars are NARROW ! I met Rolfe a year ago and he's just the nicest guy you could ever want to meet, If possible, can/would you post more pictures of your instrument as it's being made. There aren't a lot of photos of Rolfe's works in progress, and being a unique instrument, i think it would be a great learning tool to see the insides of such a great ' non-Loar ' instrument.

Rolfe is a neat guy, if I do say so myself.
He has a great and well-deserved reputation as a luthier.
Here is my tribute website to my Phoenix Custom Deluxe mandolin number 301 (http://world.std.com/~ereilly/fnx.html).
Some good shots of the progress of the construction.

Gorgeous instrument! #Mine's also a hybrid, basically a Deluxe (softer back & sides, lighter bracing, lighter strings, sexy vine inlay, pickup), but will have a Bluegrass-style fretboard and binding (plain white).

Rolfe's been great to work with, has super ideas, discusses alternatives. #A shame I live so far away (Wisconsin), or I'd be at the shop peering over his shoulder as it is being built.
