NFI and I'm not looking to buy it either. Other than meeting in a Bi-Lo parking lot a couple years ago to sell him an Epiphone MM30, I know zero about this builder.

Seemed like an interesting guy, and he obviously spent time on this mandolin because it doesn't look half bad. Actual specs might help justify the rather ambitious pricing, though it would take being one hell of a great playing/sounding instrument for me to think $700-1500 anywhere near reasonable.

Quirky build to say the least. Seahorse F holes, reversed points, neck joins body at the 11th fret, back made out of mystery wood ( kind of looks like olive wood), no mention of woods used in the description. But this is a guy who has owned "hundreds" of mandolins, including "Gibson, Kalamazoos, and Martins" and this one sounds "better than all of them". Obviously, modesty is not one of his problems. And all this from a guy who would meet another guy in a grocery store parking lot to buy an Epiphone MM-30. It probably sounds better than that one, though. But hey, if they sound that good, maybe Gibson will buy him out to get rid of the competition, just like they did Flatiron, and he could end up being Gibson's new acoustic engineer!

Pretty sure the builder posted this elsewhere in the forums.
