Yee-ha! Inspired by Rich DelGrosso, I've been practicing blues riffing on mando lately. (I'm pretty new to mando but have played folk guitar and electric blues guitar for years.)
The blues mando exploration is coming along slowly but nicely.
And by the way, the blues tips some folks here have given me, especially regarding keys, has helped. Thanks again!
Anyhow, I was just playing "Dark Hollow," which, of course, is a folky/Appalachian/bluegrassy thing, and tried laying some blues chops over it for kicks and giggles. And it sounds - well - good!
Guess I'm finally breaking out of straight major and minor mando scales. Ain't no stoppin' me now! Thirty more years of this and I might actually get somewhere!
