I'd like to put a new, bling-y truss rod cover on my A3. Can anyone direct me to where such things would be found?

Thanks,

Billy

I had one made for one of my Breedloves by Hill Country String Works (http://hillcountrystringworks.com/). Excellent company to do business with and they do quality work.

Contact Bryan England at 'Custom Inlay' - http://shop.custominlay.com/searchquick-submit.sc?keywords=truss+rod+covers

Bryan made the MOP truss rod cover for my Weber 'Fern',as Bruce Weber didn't have a piece of MOP big enough to make one. Bruce sent the design to Bryan & i got a perfect TRC,

DePaule Supply also has a good selection of "blingy" truss rod covers. I believe they will also do custom work to your design.

Here's a fancy TRC that I recently did for a well known customer. The inlay is of the CN Tower on Toronto's waterfront. The cover represents its reflection in Lake Ontario

Here's the whole instrument.

Billy, Check out some craft stores in your area and see if you can fine some "bling`y" plastic material and then you can make your own TR covers...I have seen some that I always thought would do the job but I stick to the normal designs myself...

Thanks Oliver,

I just ordered a black abalone cover from DePaule that should be arriving in 3-4 weeks. The wait is due to the screw hole spacing.
It should add just enough bling being black abalone with the ebony machine head!
I'll send along a photo when all's done.

Thanks!

Billy

ps, that is a major blingy headstock, Oliver! Beautiful indeed.

Hi Billy -'Black' Abalone is a seriously beautiful material. Sometimes,it can be so dark as to be almost invisible - until it catches the light & then it's awesome !!,
