Here's a quartet of things I'm trying to get done. Cello, octave, and two A's.
Gary, what are your customers looking for in their A's?
Nice cello too! It's OK with me if you posted close-ups of the cello.

I think like most A buyers, they want F sound without F dollars. Don't blame them, I think A's with f holes and f length necks can be great. I'll try to post some closeups of the cello if there ore no objections.
Gary
You could place the A's in the background...
I was wondering about the A's because some people will ask for specific features, either physical or tonal, and I was curious what measures you'd suggested to accomodate their special requests.

I'm more of a build it and see kind of guy. There are many things one can do(wood choice, size, arching styles, graduations) to give an instrument this or that, but in the end there's still a lot of wait and see involved.
They look good, Gary. I would welcome a closer shot of the cello too. It's almost a mando... except a lot bigger, fretless, only 4 strings... the mando content can be that it's being built by a mando builder/player. http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/rock.gif http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
