I am looking to see if there is anyone who could tell by looking at these pics if you have any idea of the age of this Mandolin? It is an old one but I can't find a serial number inside anywhere. Plays fine ans feels good. I did replace the bridge and the strings with D'addario's and the tuners were also replaced. Any idea's let me know. Thanks

Mid to late 30's??
That's a guess...

Is the peghead repaired?
I can see the clamp marks, so figure that "yes" is the answer?

Yes there were some repairs before I picked it up. Also there is a patch on the inside to keep the split seen on the back picture from worsening. Oddly enough this thing is pretty solid and plays surprisingly well.

If you have a picture of the original tuners that will help date it. They didn't put serial numbers or date codes in these.

The tailpiece has been replaced as well. How is the neck joint?

I do have the old tuners. I will need to dig them out. Yes the tail piece was replaced also before I got it. I was afraid the new strings would be too much but it has held up well.

Post a picture of the old tuners if you can.
