Well if you can live with one serial number away, SN 27 can be yours!

Ive played the one at the Music Emporium and although its a great mandolin, esthetically I like the maple on this one more than the birdsye on #27.

Some people prefer to keep the instruments, etc. that they own private.

Gil Draper apparently owns this one, at least currently: https://www.mandolincafe.com/ads/114088#114088

If you want a review of just Dudes, you can probably do a search here and find more information, but IMO, the Dude puts as much into building his A's and F's as any of the other high end luthiers. Lynn built fine guitars before tackling an F5 style mandolin and he studied lots of real Loars before building that first one. If I remember right, his first two builds out of the gate were super and got such great praise that Chris Thile got one of the early ones long before he got his first Loar. Some have said Thile sounded better with the Dude than the Loar. That says alot right there. I can say all the Dude owners I've met have been happy and most of them still have them. And right, many do not want others knowing what they own in any type high end instrument.

Elderly has a new/older different Dude F-5 than they previously had a few months ago! Pricy yes, worth it? well opinions vary. I still like that A-5 at Schoenberg's, very nice and way cheaper than an F-5 and super fancy lookin, and its said to sound phenomenal! I'd buy but I'm stuck as a old Gibson fan, I love me my odd ball 30's stuff.

personally I don't care if people know what I have, the only problem is sometimes ya get hounded too much to sell when ya don't want, I don't worry about thievery, all I say is try it and see where it'll get ya. That type of thing works itself out in the hills of home!

Me and my Doberman don`t care if you know what we own either, he is a meat eater so enter at your own risk....
