MAS kicked in as he was setting up my new mando for me.
I guess living down the road from a great luthier come with great dangers.

Precisely. The current Oregon based Weber Accoustics is not the same as the Montana roots from which it sprung.

I bought the #3 of 5 20th anniversary Yellowstone Sept 2019 and I must say it is a wonderful, magical mandolin. The sound gets better and better as I play it and holds it own against any Gibson, Collins, Ellis, Northfield etc. that I've heard, great volume and tone, sounds beautiful played quiet or loud ...
