Howdy! I'm in a Chicago-Based Bluegrass band. We have finished tracking/mixing a full length album and are ready to send it off for mastering. Anyone have suggestions of places they've used? We've got a few recommendations but nowhere with a wealth of experience in acoustic tunes. Looking to keep it under $500. Thanks, Y'all!

Never mind. I did not even pay good attention to the section of the forum I was in.

That's a difficult price point to get anyone who is really good with acoustic music to do mastering.

Yeah, tough price. Cough up a little more and go to Randy Leroy or Bill Wolf.

Other top guys that are more expensive but awesome:
Eric Conn from Independant Mastering
Doug Sax
Denny Purcell

We work with Eric Uglum at New Wine Studios. He has a wiki (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eric_Uglum), check him out.

We're very happy to say that Eric now also plays bass, guitar and mando and sings in our band.
