I was thinking of buying this and was wondering if anybody can tell from the pic. where it was made or aprx. what year. The searial number starts wirh a 97 if thats any indication of year.

If 97 is an indicator of the year, and I think that's likely, then it is too new to be Japanese and too old to be Chinese. Therefore I am thinking Korean made. The s should stand for solid wood. At the right price and set up it should be nice.

Well it got away it came up on CL for $100 w/hard case. It sold withen a few hrs. I don't need it but for 100 I wanted it !
