My Gilchrist needed a new nut. After 19 years of regular play and string changes, some of the slots had deepened, to the point of string buzz and a failure of the nut's glue fix to the neck.
I contacted Skip, we met in between our homes last Saturday to deliver the mandolin. Yesterday, I picked it up. He replaced the pearl nut with a sharp-looking, cream-colored bone one that is perfectly slotted and set up for use. Just a fantastic job - quick, quality work/materials and the right price. I also got to briefly pick on a brand-new A model he was delivering to mando mutt for sale. What a great-sounding, dreamy A model Skip builds!
Once again, a satisfied customer...thanks, brother!
