I was at an estate sale this weekend and found a really old looking mandolin.

the only name i could find on it was on the tailpiece.

it says, "Bell Brand NMS Co."
that's it...

the Scroll goes in the opposite direction (counterclockwise) as opposed to the normal clockwise scroll direction...

Anyone ever heard of a Bell Brand??

I'll be providing a picture soon, I was just curious if you'd ever heard of this type of mando...

Bell Brand is the maker of the tailpiece, they also made strings.

It sounds the same as a Regal. They must have something in common.

I bet it is similar to the one here. I believe that this was made by Regal under many different names.

THAT'S IT!!!

well, almost, minus some frets and the pick guard
and mine has no sticker inside the hole...

ok, so it's a "Regal?"
i know nothing about these mandos...
do you have any ideas about production dates or anything at all?
