I'm wanting to take seriously the matter of getting the frets done well on my first mandolin. I would be very appreciative to anyone who has anything to offer on the subject. Particularly how you dress them, (do they overhang the binding? not in the Siminoff book) what fretting tools do you use, (particularly for leveling frets) what are the standards/preferences of players, or does it completely vary? Any sources you could recommend for these types of "fret-work 101" questions would be great. I know of a couple but I prefer the recommendations of this community over a randomly chosen source of my own. Thanks for your help.
