Is this a good deal?

I can't tell much from the crummy pictures. Case shows a lot of wear. At one time people were getting $700 for F-style Handel tuners, so it's got that going for it......hard to say without better pics.......but, certainly not a giveaway, IMHO.

About $1,000 overpriced, in my opinion...

Yeah it's overpriced. They're asking an F4 price for an F2. The ad says it's all original, but a 1918 F2 would not have an adjustable bridge.

There's no telling what the condition is. Those photos suck, and I'm to the point where I don't trust a seller who wants $4500 for something but can't take a decent picture. It's really not that difficult.

It could be a good mandolin, though. I just think they're asking too much, and need to provide better info on condition.

Agree with above comments....overpriced at least $1500

Agree with being over priced. If you look around in the classifieds of dealers you usually can find several for sale as a reference.

Pickguard missing, as well. Bridge not original. But the seller does say "or best offer," so no harm in putting in a bid under $3K. May make you a "low baller," though.

Looks as though the headstock scroll has been repaired at one point.
