Not a mandolin in sight, but if you like your Texas Swing mixed with some backbay bayou bunny (ala Antoine?) go NOW and hear these guys.

Agreed. Awesome band with a killer feel. Those guys just wear it out. My highlight of Springfest '05.

So are they swing or Cajun? Twin fiddles (alone) is early Cajun (pre-accordion). It's interesting how trad. Cajun has evolved and mixed with other musics - and I'm assuming that's what RSR is all about. Please tell me a bit more as I'm not sure I'll get to hear them soon. You can PM me if you prefer.

They're actually more Cajun I guess, the lineup is:
2 fiddles, accordion, bass, guitar and drums.
The guitarist plays an ancient one pickup archtop in the early Texas Swing/hot jazz style. They covered Bob Wills' "Take Me Back To Tulsa" to a T, and their "Jolie Blon" was awesome too.
I didn't pick up any of their studio stuff, but if they come within 100 miles I'd go see 'em.
