Sam Bush Tunes

So I'm pretty much a Sam Bush junkie. Most of what I know on mando comes from him, Skaggs, and some from Sierra. Anyway here's a couple of Sam Tunes. I'd love to get some nit pickin' critiques from you guys. Maybe I can take my playing to a higher level.
I've learned quite a bit of Sam stuff by ear and have transcribed some too. Really nice job! I always liked that Old North Woods tune.

I thought it was interesting you stayed high up the neck on the B part in Brilliancy the first time around. I've always struggled to get the walk down clean using only the E string so I've thought about doing it that way too. Great job on those pulloffs too!

Yeah, it took a bit of figuring out, but I'm not a fan of shifting no tht much soposition playing worked ok. The pinky and rig finger still don't cooperate as well as I'd like up there and there are some tight squeezes on those smaller frets. I still feel I'm struggling with a lot of stuff on there, especially the pull offs. Playing half speed with a metronome helped some.

Thanks L. I've been playing mandolin for about 2 1/2 years, but I played guitar for a round 20 on and off, and played fiddle for a year before mandolin.

That would be why I liked those tracks then ;) I think the main thing I dislike about Bluegrass is the style of singing rather than the playing, I have Dave Grisman's 'Home is Where the Heart Is' and I can't get past the vocals to listen to it.

I'm a generic folkie, and like pretty much anything with that label, even pipe music in short bursts :) On the mandolin I am a fan of Simon Mayor, who crosses several styles, if you haven't come across him there are a few tracks on Youtube.
