I just found the mandolin I have been looking for, a 1995 Bozeman A5-L. It looks like it is signed by a Larry and then a squiggle. Any Idea who that signer might be?

Barnwell? I believe.

As stated elsewhere on the Cafe: "As is mine, Larry Barnwell. Bruce Weber confirmed to me that it was Bruce & team that were doing all aspects of the build process. My understanding is that Mr. Barwell was the shop "foreman" who signed labels, among other administrative duties."

I first became aware of Larry Barnwell when he replaced Charles Sawtelle on guitar in the 70s Colorado band Monroe Doctrine. He was with them on their only album. I think he also worked at Martin as well as Gibson, but not positive.

Second time this week we've had a question about this signature. Check out this (http://www.mandolincafe.com/forum/showthread.php?110412-Gibson-head-luthiers) thread and go to the end of the thread for the last listing of people that signed Gibson mandolins.
