Nice assortment of San Pellegrino on the counter.
Seems like a good time for a plug for our friend Sheri Mignano's enjoyable book "Mandolins, Like Salami" (https://www.amazon.com/Mandolins-Salami-Sheri-Mignano-Crawford/dp/0976372207) full of great biographical sketches of Italian American mandolinists (and the general mandolin orchestra scene) in SF/Bay Area through the 20th c.
Highly recommended reading to go along with a dawg or The Dawg. I'm sure there's mustard stains on my copy.

I second that. What a great, great book. It shows that one can fall into many very different rabbit holes pursuing the legends and traditions of this 8 string wonder. The mandolin is always bigger than however we conceive of it. Always.
