hi iam new to the mandolin.at present iam working through a tutor book,also trying to learn some tunes i like..one of them is wayfaring stranger,which calls for you to play tremolo on two strings/cords ie E and A in places..are there any tips for this..is it just a matter of pratice pratices..thks in advance aj

Learn all double stops in all keys. There are loads of resources - on-line, books - which detail these.

Also practice it on two fretted strings, it is easier to control than two open ones...It's the very best part of mandolin playing to me....studying doublestops will really open up your understanding of theory as well....
