What a cool performance. I loved how John's grasp of theory was so intense but he never minded chiming in here on the cafe with awesome advice.

Funny, was thinking of JM just today. He was musical, patient and very giving with advice and technique pointers. I still refer to many of his awesome transcriptions.

I agree - and his transcriptions, in my experience, were not simple note-for-note renditions (great as that is) but contained useful advice on phrasing and approach to the music....always really insightful.
Does anyone know if there is any intention to collect his transcriptions together and make them available to a wider audience?
