Hello. I am wondering if a Cafe member who has an H style teens or twenties mandola could measure the internal length of the case?
I am in the midst of a project with a Tenor Lute, and wonder if it would fit inside an original HSC from an H style mandola. The body area of the case is no issue, as TL's are built on a H style body, it's just the length I'm concerned with.
Thanks! Ken

I can tell you that Gibson never listed any case dimensions in any catalog or brochure that I have. I'm 99% sure they showed an illustration of a mandola case either.

Thanks for that! I am just looking for some Cafe member to measure the internal length of their case.
Thanks again.

Ahhh! Just noticed that's an H4, wonder if H1's are the same?

Ken,
You could look online for a dealer that has a mandola in stock with the case and ask them nicely for the measurements. Just a thought.

Hi, Ken:
I get 29 inches as well. Here is a quick sketch of my H1 case:
147764
The dimension is before the reduction in size due to about 1/2 of padding all around the body, which is compressed down to 1/4 inch at the bottom. The rest of the lining is 1/4 inch consistently.
