Sure, we've seen the eye candy. We want your photo. You know, on your favorite couch, or maybe on the deck out back or leaning up against a tree. Make it really artistic, OK? http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif

Isn't the cord jack on a traditional mandocaster on the side?

Hendrix played a 'strat', its a 'strat' type jackplate.
he had a different idea of a flamed guitar body though.
naptha flambe'

Contoured body is a 1-5/8" block of flame figured maple. same wiggle on the back.
and,I thought the tonegard added a few hundred grams to my A4.
15" nominal scale;lower tuned; CGDAE is at 3rd fret, so now Bb is G chord.
just when I was sorting out mandola, now I need more little grey cells.
with 5 string 5ths a+> your 4,1,5_3 note chords are neighbors, on the same floor. 4th down/5th up that sorta stuff.

instrument builders wet some raw wood with Naptha to show the grain figure, They dont light it , Jimi always went one step further with everything..
