A buddy turned me on to this, just wonderful. When Emory burst on the scene, it was a real treat. This long clip is that sound/feel.

Thanks for posting this Alan. I will definitely watch this later (when I'm not at work). Lester is up there in my pantheon of greats. Amazing lyricism in his playing, gorgeous songwriting, virtuoso technique. My dream dual mando recording would be Lester and Reischman - wouldn't that be something?

Hi Alan - I discovered that one a couple of weeks or so ago - Emory 'with hair'. He's one of my favourite players & has a very distinctive 'recording tone' for his mandolin. The CD he recorded with Jill Jones - "The Journey" is a delight,& i can hear threads of the tunes on his CD ''Crusin' The 8'' running all the way through it - well worth buying (IMHO). There are 2 nice covers of Gordon Lightfoot songs on it as well - "Song for a Winter's Night" & "Don Quixote",
