This was bought new in the 70's. The serial # is 11599. I can't find anything about this instrument. The gold sticker says "Saga Musical Instruments" and "SO. SAN FRANCISCO, CA". The serial number has "KM -" in bold, followed by much lighter typed "2008." The number 11599 is in bold type, directly under the style. Any ideas? Thanks.

My only guess would be that the model is actually a 200S.
That would make it an 'A' model mandolin. (But you already must know that).
According to the Kentucky sales info...that would have all solid woods, spruce top, mahogany back and sides with sunburst finish.

Not the least expensive model offered, more like lower/mid-level.

If the number really is 2008, I have no ideas.

Pictures would help.

Yeah, KM-200S sounds more like it. :)
