Gibson Mandolin

I have a Gibson F5 G mandolin with a Sam Bush neck. I have never seen another one like it. Just wondering if anyone else has???

How are the sides and backs finished on these (plain stain or sunburst)?

I played one at Jackson's Music Store in Winston Salem about two months ago. It was an awesome mandolin. Sure wished I could afford it.

I have played three different ones at the OAI store and they are great mandos. The seem to have that deeper tone because of the wider neck.

I've played a couple at OAI and at the Music Outlet in East Tn. #and all where good sounding.

Jim, I think the rest of the mandolin is the same as the F5-G, just a Bush neck. So that means no sunburst or other binding on the back.
